The Wellington Track and Field Championships was a day filled with excitement, competition, and school spirit. Held at the Joe Carmody Athletics Track, Newborough. Students who had been successful in placing first at the college house athletics carnival in term two represented the school, coming together to showcase their athletic abilities and compete for a position at the regional championships.
Every event saw fierce competition as students pushed themselves to achieve their personal best and qualify for a position at the regionals. Some standout athletes on the day were Lexi and Archie Francis, Emily and Zoe Hustwayte, Tanner Hall, Lily Marazzato, Lydia Trotta and Skye MacDonald.
The overall results were outstanding, and the College has achieved a significant milestone by sending a large team to the regional championships on September 10th. We are proud of this accomplishment and look forward to the upcoming event.
