It was the talented swim duo of Macy and Flossy that were available and qualified to represent YSC at the Gippsland Regional Secondary Swim Championships on Thursday 12th March. Held at the Sale Aquatic Centre, on a day with wild swinging weather conditions, strong competition travelled from as far as Wonthaggi in the West, Foster in the South, Swifts Creek in the North and Mallacoota in the East to try and secure a 1st place and a chance to compete at the upcoming Victorian state finals. While some competitors’ faces were familiar to our girls, others were total unknowns which made for exciting outcomes at the finishing end of the 50m pool. Macy and Flossy were sometimes swimming against girls two years older in their races. They both did an amazing job. Their final results for the day;
Macy: 2nd Womens 12-13 year old 50m Breaststroke, 3rd Womens 16-20 year old 100m Freestyle, 4th Womens 16 year old 50m Butterfly, 5th Womens 16 year old 50m Freestyle, 5th Womens 16 Year old 50 Backstroke
