This year’s school production. “Teen Spirit” was a smash. Held over 2 nights in the last week of May, our talented students put on a show to remember. After many months of rehearsals, including a 2 day workshop in the school holidays, audiences were blown away by the acting, singing and dancing skills of Yarram Secondary College students. An incredible band backed the performers as they went through some boppy and well known songs including Thriller, Ghostbusters, Ghost Riders in the Sky and American Pie.
The plot was around Salem who is a normal teenage girl who finds her family incredibly annoying, but when they die after eating some very suspicious muffins, she will do anything to make it right. While local police investigate her family’s deaths, Salem – along with her boyfriend DJ – decide to find answers using more supernatural methods. Will Salem reconnect with her family or will her meddling with death cause more trouble than she bargained for?
Well done to all the students, Producer-Ms Miller, Director-Darren McCubbin, Musical Director-Lachlan Bowden and the cameo staff who made it such a memorable show.
