Outstanding

Our students performed on stage for a preview show then 2 nights with a wonderful production. “Clueless”. From the actors, singers, musicians, stage crew and tech crew, we saw some amazing talent on show. Once again the show was Driected by Darren McCubbin with Casey Miller as the producer and Lachlan Bowden as the musical director.

Synopsis:   In the sprawling and decaying Arlington Manor, the eccentric Arlington family gathers for the reading of their late patriarch Lord Silas Arlington’s will. Each family member harbors dark secrets, quirky obsessions, and their own unique motive for wanting a slice of the inheritance. Among them are an inventor of explosives, a poison-brewing sister, a delusional Julius Caesar impersonator, a movie star with a flair for drama, and a former wrestler known for her brute strength.

When the will reveals that a significant portion of the estate, including the mansion and a mysterious missing $4M, is bequeathed to Mirabel Thistleton, a romantic novelist and complete stranger, tension boils over. As the night unfolds, family grudges and long-buried secrets come to light, leading to deception, betrayal, and, inevitably, murder.

The introduction of Mirabel and her nervous assistant Norton Price only thickens the plot, as it’s soon discovered that not everyone is who they seem to be. Ghostly ancestors observe from the shadows, a werewolf roams the cellars, and the fog-shrouded estate becomes the perfect setting for chaos and crime.

With poisonings, a missing corpse, and secret passages galore, the Arlington family—and their guests—must confront their deepest fears, darkest desires, and the ultimate question: Who is the real killer?

A murder mystery filled with campy humour, over-the-top characters, and show-stopping musical numbers,  Clueless – Murder at Arlington Manor is a satirical and thrilling whodunit that keeps the audience guessing until the very end.

As well as our seasoned performers, we saw a number of news students grace the stage, and you would think they’d been on stage forever. Well done to all of our students.
