On Tuesday, September 10th, the Yarram Secondary College Athletics team represented the Wellington district at the regional track and field championships, which took place at the Newborough Athletics Track. The weather was fine and sunny, setting the stage for a fabulous day.
The day was filled with excitement, competition, and good sporting school spirit. Students from across Gippsland came together to try their hardest to earn a spot representing the Gippsland region at the State finals in October.
We are very proud of our students who represented the college. We had outstanding results, with many personal bests achieved and six students qualifying for the State track and field championships at Albert Park.
Congratulations to all the students who made it to Regionals, and thank you for being such excellent role models for our outstanding college. We look forward to seeing what the State finals bring.
