Community

Yarram & District is a part of the Wellington Shire.  There is one Secondary College in Yarram with four feeder state schools and one catholic school.

There are many sporting facilities available including football, netball, cricket, lawn bowls, tennis, squash, golf and swimming.

Each year, there is a number of community events held, including the Tarra Festival at Easter, the Snapper Festival, a dance eisteddfod in May, a speech, vocal & instrumental eisteddfod in August and the Annual Agricultural Show in November.
