A “Vivid” production

Well done to all students and staff involved in this year’s production “Vivid”. Right from the opening number, the audience got pulled into the play, with some great one liners and great songs and music

Synopsis-Jude is overworked, underappreciated and tired of it! The boss is only focussed on results and keeps stacking the work on Jude’s desk. Paperwork, day in, day out. Deadlines and pressure with no end in sight. Jude’s parent’s keep telling them to stick with it. Stability is key! Hard work is the way to success. They don’t listen to Jude when they talk about wanting something more, needing to break free. Then, after staying late one night at work, Jude discovers a glowing door that leads into another world. The Vivid World!    Everything is better here. Brighter, more colourful, everyone is happy! Jude’s boss is kind and supportive, their parents celebrate every success and even Jude’s best friend is    cooler and more impressive. A better best friend! What more could Jude ask for? But, could it all be too good to be true?
.Some of the toe tapping songs included “I Want to Break Free”, “Perfect”, “Popular”, “The Winner Takes it All”, “If I Knew you were Coming I’da Baked a Cake” Friends and more.

There was wonderful singing not only traditionally but also a couple of rap numbers which had the audience screaming for more. Although a small cast, they certainly make up for it with gusto.

Don Cook stepped in at short notice to direct the band, again, only a group of four but, “Wow”, they were amazing.

Congratulations to Rochelle Carmichael in her first year as Director, Casey Miller as Producer and Don as the Musical Driector.

The school wishes Tennille, Alexis, Vanessa, Tyson, Oliver and Olivia all the very best as they have performed in their last production, being in Year 12.
