Once again our staff and students were treated to a “Welcome” to Yarram Secondary College with a traditional smoking ceremony. An indigenous dance troupe from Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place performed a traditional dance getting everyone involved. New staff, Yr 7 and Yr 12’s then got to place gum leaves on the smoldering fire for the smoke to cleanse them, wishing them luck for the coming year.
