On Wednesday, August 14, 6 year 8 & 9 students travelled to Monash Churchill for the Maths Madness Challenge. Rory, Shannon, Nicole, Chelsea, Sam and Andrew competed against 11 other Gippsland schools in a variety of maths problem solving and calculating challenges. Although they didn’t win, we should all feel proud of their efforts and the way they represented YSC. One highlight was that Nicole solved a difficult number puzzle before anyone else in the competition could. The puzzle was “from the numbers 3 6 25 50 75 100 make the number 952”.
