On Wednesday The SES Yarram unit visited Yarram Secondary College to speak to the Year 9 Community Program. Unit leaders presented an outline of the sorts of things the SES do both locally and around Australia. Students learned about what it takes to become part of the SES family including all the training that is available to its members. We watched a crew rescue from an accident in NSW where the SES were in action to free a man from a car accident
After the presentation students were shown some of the tools of the trade from the SES vehicle.
There was a lot of interest generated by the visit and we look forward to working with the SES crew in the future.
