Year 9 Community Program – Rachel Sellings

For Community this week we were lucky enough to head down for an engaging experience at Reeves Beach for a few hours to do some research on our local coastal environment, plus we also managed to get a refreshing swim in after our walk from Reeves to Woodside Beach.

Along the walk we discovered some unusual things, such as the tyre which was buried in the sand plus the assortment of washed up animals and creatures. We also did a worksheet investigating our native flora and fauna, the Great Cuttle Fish and the shearwater; which is a mutton bird. Over all it was an enjoyable day at Woodside Beach.
