On Tuesday the 18th of September year 7 students attended the Ancient Rome Exhibition in Melbourne. This exhibition was a unique opportunity to gain greater insight into the influences of Ancient Rome on modern society. The students impressed the tour guide with their extensive knowledge of Ancient Roman history and genuine interest in the subject.
There were many interactive displays and modern recreations of Ancient Roman machinery and technology. The Roman games were a big hit and many attempts, some successful, were made a creating a Roman arch from wooden shape cut blocks. The legacy of this important era of history was supported by this excursion and the capacity to be immersed in Ancient Roman culture via a holistic exhibition of primary and secondary Roman sources.
