Trivia Night Success

On Saturday 14th October, Sarah Myers and myself (Shane Barlow), along with the help of Helen Summers, ran the Entrepreneurial Change Makers (ECM) Trivia Night. We believe it was a successful evening. We had approximately 30 attendees, and everyone seemed very enthusiastic with everyone getting very involved. We received plenty of positive feedback about the questions, how we ran the night, and that we didn’t babble on and take forever!
Throughout the night, we had three presentations. Marley Jonston delivered a presentation about her up-cycling project and she ran a game, which also helped to mix up the night a little. Shane presented on his Boomerang Bag project and showed off a couple of bags. Sarah delivered a presentation about her coffee cup project and she ran a game as well which made the night all the more enjoyable.
We raised around $400 on the night, and John Jeffs, owner of the Yarram Dry Cleaners and Launderers, generously donated to us a further $200, meaning we raised a total of approximately $600 on the night. The money is going towards the cost of materials like cotton, bag material, any fabric scissors, and ink for the stamps. It will also help with the laundering of the bags. Overall, it was a very successful evening, and it was good to see so many smiles on people’s faces and to see everyone enjoying themselves and laughing throughout the night.
