SRC Recognition

At a state reception last night, Yarram Secondary College received a runner-up award in the Victorian SRC Recognition Awards. Year 10 students Rachel and Kristen spearheaded the application for the Whole School Focus  on Student Voice Award presenting a video on the revival of the school production. The application stated “Among the many achievements of  Yarram Secondary College’s SRC was our petition for the return of our school’s annual musical production”.  “We succeeded in this petition and showcased how student passion and creativity promotes the talents and skills of the wider school community”. “Our approach inspires and nurtures positive participation, building confidence, nurturing individuals and building collective sense of identity.”

SRC coordinator Mel Mitchell took Rachel and Kristen to Melbourne for the reception.
