The class of 9A have spent the last 3 weeks building rockets which hopefully would make NASA envious. After a few setbacks the launch day finally arrived. Unfortunately it was quite windy, which meant that the whole town of Yarram could be potentially showered in rockets.
All of the rockets were launched trouble free and worked perfectly with the parachutes coming out and landing in the school.
The straightest flying rocket was given the honour of putting the equivalent of a V8 engine in it for a second flight. The lucky rocket builder was Nathan Travers. After 2 false launches his rocket finally took flight and went so high that the wind caught it and it now lives on top of a roof in James St!
