Intregration Excursion to Maffra and Sale.

On 20th August, the 8/9 went to the Maffra Art Gallery and library. We saw Eden Gregory and Isea Teo’s art work. They had entered a competition and were lucky enough to get their drawings hung up in the gallery. Eden’s was very artistic and creative. Isea’s was also very well done and was different to the other entries.  The thing I noticed was that the paintings were supposed to be about Wellington but a lot of the paintings were different to this category.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      After the Maffra Gallery we went to the Beet Museum. This was interesting because we learnt that the people in Maffra used to make sugar from plants like turnips. A friendly Lady showed us a really old film on sugar beet and early Traralgon and Tarra Valley.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               We had lunch at McDonalds in Sale and stopped off at the Art Gallery in Sale on the way home. There were very interesting ideas of art in the gallery. We were also able to make our own art and put in on a sculpture.    We had an interesting day, met new people and learnt a lot of new facts.
