The school is hosting a group of 11 students and a teacher from Chungshu Foreign Language Middle School this week. So far the students have enjoyed singing Australian song, painting boomerangs, throwing boomerangs and a number of general subject classes. A highlight today was a visit from a baby wombat named “Unit”. Unit was cared for during the day by the students with much excitment whilst he was given his bottle. Later in the week they will be attending a rifle shoot at Longford, cooking an Australian Bush Feast, a trip to Wilson’s Promontory with a bbq lunch, as well as making an Australian themed pencil case and needle felting in textiles and other generalised subjects. Whilst at the school students from the host families will also be participating in classes with their guests.
