As part of ECM a number of students have been holding regular working bees to make Boomerang Bags for distribution in the community. Last Saturday’s Sewing Bee was the most successful so far with seven people showing up, ready to work, beating the previous best of three. The workers sewed 10 bags in 2 hours which was a great effort, and some people took home ready-to-sew bag packs. This brings our total close to 200, which is around 1/3 of the way to the target. Thanks to all those who have donated fabric. Further donations would be welcome, useful and appreciated. Thank you to those who showed up on Saturday, and hopefully we will have an even larger group at the next working bee on August 26th from 2-4pm.
