ANZAC Day

On the Centenary of  the landing at Gallipoli, our school had several students serve us well, representing us at the annual ANZAC service in Yarram.
Saul Stainer and our group of drummers, Jarrod Vening, Sam Stone, Seamus Doyle, Shannon Ray and Harry Smith, kept the marching in line with a steady drum beat as returned servicemen and women, family, friends and local school students marched down Commercial Road to the service at the Regent Theatre. School Captains, Laura Bland and Jack Mitchell marched along with Assistant Principal, Lyn Kerrison. After the short service, the crowds thronged to the cenotaph where Jack and Laura laid a wreath on behalf of the school community. In return they were presented with a  Spirit of Australia medal to commemorate the centenary and the schools continued involvement by Danny O’Brien., Leader of The Nationals-Gippsland South.
